Travel Info which points should i compare... Travel Tips each island has their own unique attractions. so you would have to take into consideration, what do the offer (for eg.. Dominica offers mostly eco tourism while Barbados is into sun sea and sand) so therefore in your essay you would have to consider what the tourists prefer. also things like the crime rate would be taken into account. unfortunately some of our caribbean countries have a high crime rate. the hospility of the people, is key. the infrastructure would also be worth a mention. however consider what the country is offering before you claim that they are backwards. Dominica for instance may not be as developed as Trinidad but that could be attributed to the fact that we cater to different tourists. so therefore it may be wise to compare two islands that offer similar tourists attractions.. Others I'd look at things like weather and climate (for example the ABC Islands are usually not affected by hurricanes - they are close to the equator and deserts, other islands are moister.) Also possibly the accessibility - Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands don't require passports - some islands are easier to fly to with major carriers, some are much harder. How long does it take to get there? Urban center size and variety - How is San Juan different than Oranjistad or Road Town, Tortola. The support for tourists - what kind of variety of hotels, restaurants. Variety of attractions? Is there a Park like, or natural atmsophere or is the island built up? Are there casinos? Seriously? I hated answering these kind of questions when I was in school. Why would I spent that amount of time and braing energy answering one now? |
