Goin on a cruise in July and need advice for shore excursions.? |
Travel Info We are going on a cruise and we want to book some shore excursions. We are able to book them through the cruise line, but some people have told me to book them my self for a better rate. I need to get advice for doing it myself and also any resources on how to do it. It is a western carribean cruise on Carnival Valor. Thanks everyone!! Travel Tips Hi Iowa, Wisconsin here! You are going to have the best time. The Valor is a beautiful ship. Shore excursions through the cruiseline are a bit mor expensive, but they are researched and scheduled with the cruiseline. My husband and I have taken dozens of excursions and usually don't go independent unless we have been to an island/country before and know what we want. The cruiseline lets people tender that have excusions booked with them first. You may not get to shore on time or back to the ship with an independent. For more information try cruiseaddicts.com or cruisecritics.com for lots of answers from veteran cruisers who love to share. Others I think try typing the destination in a google search. For example -Avalon, Catalina. Then pick a website that can tell you about the area and then you can ask the website where to find excursions! this may sound odd and long but you will be saving hundreds trust me! i have had the same problem. im going soon (monday) |
