There are in fact many jobs done by expats in the Cayman Islands, but the rule is always that jobs must be advertised locally first and that work permits are only granted where the employer can show that no suitable Caymanians applied for the post in question. There are plenty of posts advertised in the local press, but many of them are positions which are already filled, but which the employer has to advertise under the immigration rules. I don't know what your skills are, but there are plenty of jobs in teaching, catering and the hospitality industry which are largely done by expats.
