What are the main differences between Dominican Republic and Cuba? |
Travel Info I am looking to go on vacation to either one of those places.. I've been to Cuba, but haven't been to the Dominican Republic..... information anyone? Thanks :) Travel Tips Castro Others You didn't say what your nationality is. Americans can't go to Cuba, so I'll ignore that part of your question The D.R. is a great place to go. You can walk along the beach in Santo Domingo and find great places to eat. The people are very friendly and, at least compared to Haiti, relatively well off financially. Some of the hotels leave a bit to be desired. Check the rooms for bed bugs before you take the room because I've been eaten alive in hotels in that town. You can visit the rest of the country in relative comfort and safety and, if you use the public transportation, you can do it on a budget as well. There is a lot of high priced building going on in the D.R. now, including what is promised to be the largest Marina in the Caribbean. Book your trip through a travel agent. I think you will like the experience. well for one- one is in one place the other is in the other... lol..... DR is nice...so i've herd.....u should try something diff. anyways unless u feel the URGE to go to cuba....then do that....just look it up on the internet....talk to people from DR thru myspace or something...there are so many ways to get informed.... The DR has higher mountains and more merengue music. Well, if you want to go to Cuba, it's easy to get INTO Gitmo. Getting out's a bit harder though. well cuba is about 45min from miami, i dont know where you live at, and dominican republic is about 2 hours. i say go to dr, i had fun there, i went horse back riding it was so much fun, i wish i can go Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, great beaches (the best) great hotels, great excursions, and so many more.... www.platiniumtravel.com Gilbert platiniumtravel@yahoo.com |
