What is the paper you get when you go to Dominican republic? |
Travel Info What is the paper you get when you go to Dominican republic? Travel Tips On the plane, you'll be given a customs form to fill out; you'll present it to the customs/immigration officials once you arrive at the airport in the Dominican Republic. You'll be asked to declare any goods you're bringing into the country, and likely the value of those goods. You may also be given a form on the plane for a tourist card -- though it's more likely that you'll fill this out in the airport. Tourist cards just permit you to stay in the Dominican Republic for 60 days without requiring a visa; they cost $10 (which must be paid in U.S. currency.) If you'd rather get a tourist card before you go to the Dominican Republic, you can do so at the embassy or one of the consulates. Quite frankly, though, it's easier just to get it at the airport. Don't forget your passport, by the way! As of January this year, all U.S. citizens arriving by air must have a passport (with a validity of six months remaining from date of departure) in order to be admitted into the country. Good luck, hope this helps, and have a great trip! --Holly Source(s): I'm an editor with Travelocity.
