Nation of Guadalupe?

Travel Info
Is there a nation of guadalupe? if so can anyone tell me anything about it

Travel Tips
Guadeloupe is a French overseas-department (department are the equivalent to a state or provinces). They have been incorporated into France and therefore are also part of the European Union. It is not an independent nation or territory. Source(s): Wikipedia article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/guadeloupe...
Other Travel Tips
It is one of the French islands in the Caribbean. I think it is not a "nation", just one of the French Antilles. It is very beautiful, with great beaches and an exotic culture that mixes the original Arawak Indians, French colonization and African slaves... It's a great place for a holiday or a honeymoon.
