Travel Tips I would say it has been removed from the Caribbean and moved to a location 1100 miles northeast of Miami, and to the south of Nova Scotia. This location is a little to the north of the Caribbean. Maybe if Bermuda has recently been in the Caribbean then continental drift has become much faster. It was originally part of a chain of Islands in the north Atlantic that sunk a few years earlier. Bermuda, then known as "The Magillicutty sand spit" belonged to Lower Slobovia, as they had claimed the chain of Islands in a treaty with the Former USSR in1916.
