Cayman Island (Bus) Public transportation? |
Travel Info Hello I was wondering how easy it is to catch the bus in Grand Cayman and are there a great number of stops I would like not to have to rent a car if I visit there. Has anyone from the U.S. used their bus lines to get from place to place? What do you reccomend? Travel Tips There are a few buses, but they tend to operate in a straight line between central Georgetown and West Bay, Bodden Town and East End. http://www.grandcayman4u.com/transport/b... They won't take you to some of the places that you really do want to visit, such as the Botanic Park and Stingray City. However, they are cheap and useful for what one might describe as the main drag. They tend to hoot at pedestrians and you can flag them down as you walk along. You might consider compromising by hiring a scooter as long as you are a competent driver and there isn't any problem with the rain. During a heavy downpour only a 4WD will do. If you hire a scooter, make sure that they provide you with a crash helmet and that you wear it, heat or no heat. http://www.discovercaymans.com/guides/ca... |
