Travel Info What do You think of the caribbean islands? Travel Tips The great thing about the caribbean islands is that although they share similiar histories and cultures each island has its own different colour and flavour because of the melting pot process.(Melting Pot- a merger of several races and culture being fine tuned to one) Most Caribbean islands are filled with extremely friendly people and to the North Americans adavantage the islands are warm even during the winter season. Most islands are not poor as I would say but rather they are less developed than the more industrialised countrie of the world. In all the Caribbean islands are a great place to vacation as each island offers a slight difference .Some like Dominica (not the Dominican Republic)offer Eco tourism where as places such as Jamaica and Barbados offer nightlife and beach time. So what someone may think of the caribbean will obviously depend on not only the islands they have visited but also his and her tastes and if the islands they visited were in their interest and flavour. Others Wonderful - Went to the Dominican Republic (Punta Cana) last year - never wanted to come home. The water wasn't as clear as Cancun, but the weather was better, less commercialized and the people were great. the commonwealth of dominica is by far the most precious hidden jewel of the caribbean. It is my goal to visit each and every one of them in my lifetime. puerto rico is the richest of them all! but all are beautiful Jamaica is the best.....beautiful island, beautiful ppl, delicious food, nice beaches and i can go on and on I went to the Bay Islands of Honduras for a visit and ended up staying there for about 20 years. |
