Anybody ever vacation in St. Maarten?

I'm going in February and can't wait! Whats it like having planes landing so close to the beach, and have you ever been blasted them? Thats one of the reasons I chose St. Maarten LOL.

WHEN YOU GET THERE
you will be so amazed, we go back every year they have a bar called sunset beach bar (its on the web)
you sit there drinking 1 dollar premium beer all day and watch planes landing on a runway almost a short as an aircraft carrier, in the afternoon when the KLM ' comes in a 7 47 you stand there and it almost hits you in the head, the air france is a very large four engine it is huge i never heard of it, but when the take off you better cover up you will get sand blasted and blown into the sea, as i said we go back and spend at least 3 days at that area. at the other end they have a little boat bar the beer is also very inexpensive but the view is rather dangerous we hang oin the fence when the big guys are taking off and it almost levels you out. your in for a great time, but be careful when the planes are taking off the burglars are watching your stuff and may take it i take their pictures as soon as i get there and they take off running. most are from the French side sneeky little scum. let me know how you made out i love the island also no tax on anything a case of coors l;ight is 9 bucks for 24 its crazy
