Are there any islands not affected by hurricane season? |
Travel Info Are there any islands not affected by hurricane season? Travel Tips Aruba is not likely to see a hurricane. St. Maarten is effected by hurricanes. The worst time for hurricanes is September and October. But the season is from June - November. Others Iceland Yes the British Isles. I don't remember the hurricane season affecting us here during my lifetime. Hello, You will get some funny remarks as answers to this query like Yes. there is a road traffic island near my house, never been known to have even a slight breeze blow over it. or the Isle of Anglesey, in North Wales, but, I know what you mean, and I think you might be able to ask that question of the Sky tv weather channel, they cover the world with their weather reports. I think you should really consider not going to the tropics though, and anywhere north of say Spain should be ok, such as any Island in the Mediteranean Sea should be safe for you to enjoy. I hope this helped you Sir. .................Tony M The souther Caribbean is less effected. Why, what's the difference? The Caribbean Islands of Aruba, Bonaire, and Curacao. for the most part, the Southern Caribbean Islands are the ones that are either not, or the least affected. In last couple of years, most theyhave gotten aroud Curacao, Aruba and Bonaire (all Dutch Antilles as well) was a little bit of a windy day and some rough seas. But other than that there isn't much on huricanes around there. St. Marten however get's some damage from huricanes pretty often, so plan it good there. |
