Western Caribbean Cruise... Calica vs. Costa Maya?? |
Travel Info I've never been on a cruise before and I'm going to Mexico.. I've never heard of either of the two, which one would be the best to visit?? Any advise on either would be helpful! ~Thanks! =) Travel Tips I've only been to Costa Maya, and I loved it. We took excursions when we went: a dune buggy tour the first time and a boat tour the second time. On the dune buggies we drove outside of the port and saw how the locals live. We also swam at a really great beach. It was a lot of fun. For the boat tour we took a one-hour bus ride to this lake that is so clear, the water looks aqua blue. We each got to use 2-person speed boats and had a fabulous time. The lake was stunning. The port itself consists of a bunch of touristy stores, restaurant and pool.
