If you are referring to LASIK eye surgery, I would stick with a physician in Puerto Rico. Physicians there are regulated by U.S. authorities and must follow U.S. standards. There are several surgeons in San Juan. If not, your best bet is to fly to Miami.
I have heard too many horror stories about procedures done in the Dominican Republic and in other third world nations, therefore, if your health is a priority I would stick with the U.S. or Puerto Rico. There might be some surgeons in the U.S. Virgin Islands (which also follow U.S. guidelines) but I am not too sure. |
