How many hurricanes does St. Lucia have on average in a year? |
Travel Info I'm planning a vacation to St. Lucia in September but i'm soo fearfull of being caught in a hurricane. I know what are the odds of that happing but I just figured i'd ask..... Does any one know how many hurricanes their usually is in a year on average in St. Lucia. Are their more around September? Travel Tips St. Lucia averages less than one hurricane per century. Tropical storms are more frequent but still occur several years apart. September is right in the middle of hurricane season but you should be fine. Have fun on your trip! Others St Lucia is fairly low in the hurricane belt, so chances are less likely there than other areas. September is prime hurricane season, but don't let that stop you. I travel to the caribbean every hurricane season. It's less crowded, less expensive, and the weather has always been fantastic for me. St Lucia is my favorite island. It is so lush and tropical, exactly what you dream about! You're going to have a fantastic time!!! Most resorts offer a guarantee that you'll get to come back for free if a hurricane hits while you're there... it's that unlikely that you'll get hit.
