When is a safe time of year to cruise the Caribbean?

Travel Info
My family would like to do a Disney Cruise and I don't want to risk getting in a big storm or hurricane. Are there times of the year that are less risky than others?? I was in New Orleans in July once and there was a big gulf storm. Is winter better?

Travel Tips
June 1st through November 30th is hurricane season. The best time to take a cruise would be December through May if your worried about hurricanes. You could stretch and go in June.

Have a wonderful time on your cruise.

Just make sure your captain isn't an alcoholic and take the wrong course and end up in the iceburg area then have the ship sink slowly and have Celion Deion singing that love song.
July to November is hurricane season.

We cruised the Caribbean July 4th week in 2005 and were caught between storms Cindy and Dennis.

We had to miss Grand Caymans and our captain ran us down to Progresso, Mexico to hide out.

Several members of our party got really sick the night we were on the outskirts of the storms.
There is usally enough notice of a storm coming that the ship can negotiate out of range. BTW fares are cheaper during the hurricane season so some really good deals if you want to risk some adventure on your cruise.
Hi.. October to April is usually the most busiest time of the year. Also you don't get much into the hurricane season. May to September is more slower as Cruise ships divert to Alaska and the Meditterenean. during this time you get int the Hurricane season. If you travel during the off season (May to Sept) in the caribbean you get much better deals. Your captain is very well aware in advance about hurricane and tropical storms. He knows what's right for the ship and it's passengers.
Good Luck.
Hurrican Season runs from June 1 - Novembere 30 yearly with the most active month being September. Weather is usally nicest from February to June/July.

Come on down to the Caribbean and experience a lil bit of paradise - I would recommend Antigua: 365 lovely beaches, lots to do for adults and kids.....
