Is Belize a nice spot to vaction at? |
Travel Info Me and few of my girlfriends want to take a trip in the fall but we're looking for something exotic and fun. We don't want to go to Cancun so how is Belize? Travel Tips Seems like everyone here has only been to Belize on cruises and hasn't actually seen the country. The beaches are better in Mexico but the ocean is awesome along the reef in Belize. We have been to Belize three times. You should not stay in Belize City, head to San Ignacio into the jungle and Mayan ruins then head out to the Cayes and explore the underwater world. Ambergris Caye and Caye Caulker are fun to hang out and chill. Do some research on the different cayes and what they have to offer. Belize is awesome and the people, for the most part, are too. Others Fabulous, great beaches, diving, snorkeling, jungles and not too expensive. You can do it all in Belize. P.S. I love Costa Rica.....................too. I have been to Belize on a cruise twice! I've been on nine cruises total! There are many great sites to see there, but the downtown area is bad. there are alot of homeless people and street vendors begging for you to buy something from them! If you are near the cost or on one of the small islands of Belize. Then yes, it is amazing. I was just there on a girls trip for a day and it was a little scary. I have been to many of the Caribbean Islands, Mexico, and Europe. This was one of the places I felt least safe. We just got back from a cruise to Grand Caymen, Cozumel, & Belize. Cozumel was the prettiest! I was dissapointed in Belize the water is not as clear & BLUE. The ones that went out diving said it was pretty out away from shore. We went on the city tour & they need to clean up there is alot of trash. Cruise Traveler |
