What do i do about trying to get a passport? |
Travel Info What are some things that can stop you from getting one? Travel Tips Go to your local post office and pick up an application. It lists what you need to send in with your application. Usually, your birth certificate and 2 passport pictures. It is taking about 10 weeks to get one, due to the January 2007 changes in traveling requirements. I'm assuming you are applying for a USA passport. Go to this site to answer other questions regarding your second question. Click on passports. http://travel.state.gov Good Luck Others Absence of the passport fee... ...a felony conviction. Ourstanding warrent(s). Fraulant information on your application. When you go to the post office to get one, make sure you do not sign anything. You have to sign the papers in front of the post office clerks. Most post offices have certain hours for passports - usually end about an hour before the post office closes. Don't forget to bring 2 checks. You have to pay 2 different people for the passport fees. Also - go to Kinkos, Walgreens one of those places to get pass port photos - you need 2 small ones... they are fairly inexpensive. You can download the forms off the internet.. http://travel.state.gov/passport/passpor... it says it will take up to 10 weeks to get your passport to you -- for a fee you can expidite the process -- I am not exactly sure how much that would cost.
