Great Bars to go to in St. Maarten? |
Travel Info Im getting ready to take a cruise that stops in St. Maarten this comming week. Me and my friends want to find an awesome bar to party at. Also does anyone know for sure if there's a Legal Drinking Age in St. Maarten? Travel Tips Wow...tons of bars and bars on beaches to select from. That's just too hard of a question to answer. What you might want to do is when you get off the cruise ship at the port, go out of the port and when you exit, there are a bunch of shops at the port. There's a big shop on the right side. Right in back of that shop (walk around the shop) is the taxi stop where they'll have a bunch of taxis lined up. A porter is there to ask where you want to go and to get you the taxi. Tell the porter that you'd like to go to a good party bar and he'll suggest you some. Take your pick from what they tell you. The best part about that too is you also can tell them what time to come pick you up and they'll come back at that time to get you and they know the cruise ship times so they'll make sure you get picked up in time to get back to the cruise ship. Myself, I loved Maho Beach and Sunset Bar. But that was mainly because that's where the jets come in to land at the airport right over the beach low enough that they seem to be landing right on top of you (when I say low, I mean low!) Right on Maho Beach, right by where they land over the beach is Sunset Bar and it's always hopping, but mostly with people waiting for the jets but it is a wild bar ("Topless Girls Drink Free" is there motto - and is a true motto) but probably not what you have in mind. You might keep in mind that there are also bars and beaches over on the French side (St. Martin) of the island. The French side (St. Martin) has "European" (ie. clothing optional and topless common) style beaches. Not sure of the legal age, but they don't get too excited about age as long as not real young. Source(s): Been on many cruise Other Travel Tips the beauty of st maarten is that you don't need to go to a bar to get drunk they actually sell beer in the streets and you can drink it in the streets usually costs around $1-$1.25 for one, or believe it or not you can go to the jewellery stores most of them will actually give you free beer if you appear to be serious about a piece of jewellery........ hhhmmmmm wonder why, when i found that out i went jewellery store hopping, as for drinking age they are pretty loose unless you are quite obvious good luck have fun Sunset Beach Bar is the best bar to go to. There is a legal age yes but I don't think they really enforce it. Some places do. I think the legal age is either 18 or 20 yrs old. |
