Where to go in the caribbean?

Travel Info
I live in Fort Lauderdale and am looking for any suggestions on where to go in the caribbean for memorial day (May 25-28) for 2 girls in their early 20's. The trip can only be 2-3 nights and it has to be those exact days. Looking to spend no more than $400 a person, and suggestions other than the Bahamas are preferred. Thanks a bunch!

Travel Tips
May I suggest Barbados, or at least look into it. For 2 girls, hmm, for accommation, may I suggest the cheapest which is Pegwell Inn Guest House, located in Welches, Oistins, close to amenities. Walking distance to post office, supermarket, drug store, barber shop, stationairy stores.

Hope this helps.

Depends on what you are looking for. If you want relaxation, beautiful beaches and great shopping go to Aruba, Antigua or one of the dutch or british islands. The islands in the lower part of the caribbean are more secluded. However, be ready to pay more for plane tickets the further south you go.

If you stick to most of the northern islands (which are the larger islands) it'll be easier to find great travel deals.

However, if you're seeking great night life, go to Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Trinidad or Bahamas. All four have great resorts that offer massages, drinks and food included in the price plus entertainment and water sports. However, their night life is MUCH better than most of the other islands. The other islands tend to have night life such as karaoke, old drunk men dancing and other boring planned events.

Of all the Islands I've been too, I think that Jamaica has it all. Beautiful beaches, Lots of hotels that have food and alcohol included in the price water sports, great golf courses and lots of "Adult themed" events if you're looking for something more risque. Jamaica also has, I believe the only adult only resort in the Caribbean. They have 3 resorts called Hedonism I, II and III. ranging from sexually charged to full blown nudity. If you're looking for something more tamed try the Beaches resorts or the Sandals resorts. If you are hit with a hurricane they'll usually re-imburse you.

If you're looking for a deal, check out www.travelzoo.com On that site you'll find this great resort that is 50% off because of it's grand opening plus it's an all-inclusive resort which means that ALL food, drinks and entertainment is included in the price.

All of the other island listed by previous poster are beautiful and relaxing, but when I visited them I got bored after a 2 or 3 days. They didn't have much to do at night besides sit around the bar. Basically, what you will get at all of the other islands posters have listed you will get in the larger islands plus more.

Well I hope that helped.
