Does anyone have any suggestions for a good honeymoon location? |
Travel Info I am working with about a $2000 budget for the honeymoon. If we do fly out, we will be flying out of Houston, TX. I'm looking for something in Mexico or the Caribbean but nothing very "touristy". I've seen a lot of package deals on the internet sites (expedia, travelocity, etc.) but I'm not sure if they are what I'm looking for. Any first hand info would be great! Anything in Texas that I'm overlooking would be great too. Thanks! There are local things to do also if you dont want to be very touristy. xcaret is cool- where you can swim with dolphins. and the ancient ruins of chicanitza are about an hour busride away- very cool! We just got back from Playa Del Carmen. It was beautiful and with the Spring specials 2 grand oughta put you in one of the best hotels. Playa is south of Cancun and less of a tourist trap than other places. We've been going for years because of the semi-private beaches and the excellent service. Congrats and Good Luck!
