Vacation question!! urgent?

hi is it possible
a) to book a two week vaca in teh caribbean last minute
b) where to go for a good deal (keep in mind we're canadian and can go to cuba)
c) we're 5 recently graduating females (from university) - where is a good resort to go..
d) we do not want to pay more then 1200-1400 (with taxes) for 14 days

Check the University bulletin boards. There are always student specials to Cancun or Cozumel. You'll pay a little more for last minute, but the more people going the lower the rate will be. Also, as previously stated use a travel agent or check out the ones on line. Cancun and Cozumel are going to be cheapest, but I recommend Playa Del Carmen. It is gorgeous and only a short ride from Cancun. So you could visit both. 1200-1400 (per person?) should get you a good deal with food and drinks included as well as entertainment.

You could also book a 7 day Carribean Cruise for about the same per person. However, it may be difficult getting all the rooms you need at such a late date.

If you are looking for cheap I'd think that Cuba and the Dominican Republic are the cheapest from Toronto. If you are east coast or west coast then this may not be the case.

What is your starting point? If it's Toronto, or southern Ontario then you can also check the Thursday or Saturday Star for selloffs in their travel section & the Sunday (and maybe Wednesday) Sun for the selloffs in their travel section.
