Travel Tips All the islands understand English, so no worries about language - tho each "accent" sometimes makes it hard understand a conversation. Don;t be afraid to ask them to slow own and repeat. Pack light, but remember some islands are more conservative than others.... most like you to cover up your swim suit when not on the beach. In Barbados it is illegal to wear camoflage clothes. Bring mosquito repellant and USE IT! Bring sunscreen and USE IT!!! Wear good solid sandals in case you have to walk somewhere. Bring US dollars as all the islands will accept US but then use a money machine to get local currency as that will give you a better rate. Bring crackers, nuts and even chocolate bars in case you are strapped for a place to eat and get hungry. First stop once off the plane, if you are flying, should be to buy bottled water.
