Travel Tips Depends on how much alcohol you drink (can get very pricy) However things purchased on the cruise can be put on your ship debit card that is issued once you get on the ship. Depends how many souveniers you want to purchase. I would get a list of the excursions before you sail and you can decide which ones you want to go on and know the price ahead of time--this too can be put on your credit card. Most islands take credit cards also and the currency converts automatically via your credit card company therefore being the safest way to make larger purchases. You can use cash for smaller purchases, and I would still recommend bringing traveler's checks for your safety in case they get lost or stollen. To answer your question, if you have the money, I would take 1,000 in travelers checks and cash them only as you need them. Plus if you dont use them you can cash them in at any bank . About a $1.000.00 dollars and a debit or a major credit card. I just come back from there. Everything you drink on the ship will go on a credit card you provide when you board. You will need a mixture of credits cards, ATM card and money. Your food will be paid for so you need spend money. $100 a day is a fair budget. More if you plan to do alot of gambling, excursions and shopping, you can always get money at a ATM machine.Check to see if your ship will have one. have a great cruise. s |
