What's the safest money to use for travelling? |
Travel Info i'm going on holiday to america this august from uk, what's the safest money to bring & use? Travel Tips Use plastic,best (for me ) VISA.Everybody takes VISA. And of course a couple of bucks cash to buy a cup of coffee , or so . Others Your debit card.....its taken everywhere. Travelers checks or credit cards. Make sure you make copies of them and keep them in your luggage or purse in case they are lost and you can call the numbers to get them replaced or report them stolen. Cash seems to be what everyone thinks to bring, but it is too easy for pick pocketers. I always heard that travelers checks like american express travelers checks are the best route to take. if they are lost or stolen then they can be replaced. i saw that on a commecial. hope that helps. Dollars of course. I've always found withdrawing cash locally from ATMs to be the best - the banks do charge but you'll get a better exchange rate so the 2 cancel each other out. Travelers Cheques |
