I am traveling to Brussels, i want to know how much tip to give to the porter in the airport. what are tip %? |
Travel Info what are the percentage for tips in brussel for hotels and resturants Travel Tips there are no porters in (ZAVENTEM) that's the name of the airport in Brussels..just get a cart and take care of your luggage like everybody else and they cost nothing..about the restaurants and bars the tip is mostly around 5% for a good service or even nothing if you think the service is not good ..have a nice stay in Brussels. Others A service charge is included in hotel and restaurant bills and taxi fares. Porters, coatroom and bathroom attendants are generally tipped (may expect a tip per item/luggage) I would suggest tipping: portage is 鈧? per piece for coatroom attendants Eur 鈧?.25-2.50 per coat for bathroom attendants Eur 鈧?25-.50 for airport porter 鈧?3-5 per bag Tipping is not a percentage in there, not like the states.. you can give lesser amount in restaurants. As I said... the service charges are usually added in hotel, restaurant, and taxi fares. Belgians commonly round up the total amount to determine the tip. So you see? When in Rome, do as the Roman do... round up the bill or leave an extra tip if you've received exceptional service. Would hire trolley at airport.Much cheaper.Just make sure you have some euro coins.Tipping is similiar to elsewhere 10%.However tipping is'nt a big deal as all staff are paid. |
