Dutch and German shorts look different from North-American ones :-) That said, shorts are fine at daytime, but not when visiting churches or eating out at a restaurant. Others There isn't much that is unacceptable in how to dress in Germany or Holland. -So yes, it's acceptable :o) If prostitution and weed are legal in Amsterdam than I think wearing shorts will be no problem. They are totally acceptable outside and during the day, but not when in a restaurant or going out! PS and when we see guys wearing shorts when it's not very warm, or when they are wearing sneakers/shoes with (white) socks underneath, we are sure they are tourists. Dutch |
