Can I travel to Schengen states with a Swiss visa?

Travel Info
Suppose I am not from the US but have a Swiss visa. I heard Switzerland recently joined the Schengen agreement, does this mean I can travel freely within the EU with the Swiss visa?

Travel Tips
Switzerland is Schengen signatory member only, they do not yet apply the agreement. You might ask at the Swiss consulate where you apply for the visa if they will provide you with a Schengen visa or with a visa for Switzerland only. If the visa is for Switzerland only you will have to apply for a Schengen visa at one of the Schengen countries. Source(s): http://www.delind.ec.europa.eu/en/featur...

Other Travel Tips
Why don't say where you are from instead saying" suppose I'm not fron US"., so we can answer properly and not assuming.
Are you ashamed of your native country?
If you have a Swiss Visa, I am pretty sure you will need visa for the countries you will visit.
