Pl suggest best way to see Berlin in just 1 day? |
Travel Info Hi I will be in Berlin this sunday from morning 9am to evening 6pm. During this 9 hours, I wd like to visit the must-see places in Berlin. Pl suggest top 3 / 4 places to visit & how to reach them. Would also like to see the historical Berlin wall. (My arrival point in Berlin is ZOB, am Funkturm- Bus stop). Thanks in Advance. Jai Travel Tips Hi there PI well get ready to enjoy a really fun city; You will see that it is amazing that it was once divited into 2 very differnt 'worlds'. The whole city has been revamped and extremely beautiful buildings are appearing throughout the city. What I sugest for you to do is take the famous: hop on-hop off bustour; this way you will have a good idea of the whole city.Afterwards get off in the neighbourhood of Potzdammer Platz or the Reichstag. It is all in walkingdistance. The Reichstag is the parliament, huge beautiful building that you cna visit HOWEVER long long queues to buy tickets. But just walk around with your map in this neighbourhood. Not too far away you have the famous checkpoint Charlie (where everybody crossed the border between east and west berlin). Okay VERY touristy but this is history and take some time to saty at the end of the tour of the museum to watch the film on the fall of the wall. Very touching human moments. Do not forget to grab a coffee at the Gendarmenplatz - one of Berli's most beuatiful squares IF the weather is nice there are even some open air classical concerts given there. Time to relax a bit: go to the park at Tiergarten. Fun place to watch Berliners and tourists mix together. Do not forget it is all within walkingdistance. Your 9 hours will be well spent. Terry Others Best way for your (sorry) crazy time frame, get the double decker tour bus, which will drive you to all the major tourist spots, you can get on and off at every stop. I think it is the best way for you to see most of the city in such a short time. They will provide you with a map, so you can chose where you want to get off and what you like to see Seen Berlin twice |
