I am a citizen of Greece and would like to travel to Germany. Can I do that with my identity card?

As far as I know yes. But it would be better to have the new form of ID cards, the ones where data are stated in both Greek and Latin alphabets. I am aware of stories about people who traveled with the older ID cards and didn't face any problem at all, but I wouldn't suggest it. However, traveling inside the Schengen area ( Greece and Germany both belong to it) does not require any passport or other identification control. Have a nice stay in Deutschland!!!
If you bought a plane ticket usually it tells you, you dont need one. Nice choice Germany is beautiful. I live in Germany but I have a some friends that are Malakes =)
