Italian pronunciation?

I have began learning Italian, and got a little bit confused along the way. I was listening to Italian numbers being said and number 5 'cinque' was said chingue. Is 'ci' prounounced as Ch in Italian?

Yes. Ci = "chi" like in "chin"
I would rather spell the pronounciation of cinque as "chinkwe". No "g" in it. Moreover: "ce" = "che" like in "chest"
"chi" = "ki" like in "kiss"
"che" = "ke" like in "kennel" or "rocket"
