Students going to Europe! Advice? |
Travel Info I'm going to London, Paris, Italy, and the Swiss Alps with a good friend of mine. We plan to do all the major historical sights in these places (except Switzerland), and other fun things too. I'm really looking forward to the trip, I've been to Europe before, I know I won't be bored, and I love studying up on the stuff we'll see to better apreciate it later. He is really looking forward to it too, but he says he is too lazy to do ANY sort of research into the stuff we're seeing. I don't care if he studies museums and stuff, I just don't want him to go over there and be bored, and just be him following me around. He won't choose anything he wants to do, cause he dosn'e know (because he's never been and doesn't want to read). Any advice on fun things in these places besides the major historical sights that we are guarenteed to both enjoy? To clarify from previous answers I don't do drugs or use weapons, I know how railpasses work, and I don't love b Travel Tips London is very expensive for consumer goods , when you are there Im sure you dont't need me to tell you the obvious sites, take a walk up The Mall (road leading to Buckingham Palace) , go to the Tower of London , see Tower Bridge, Westminster Abbey and The Houses of Paliament (Big Ben.) In Paris there is obviously the Louvre Art Gallery and the Eiffel Tower, and the Palace of Versailles just outside the city is WELL worth a visit! Paris is also a very expensive city , but will be cheaper than London for things like eating out. note that you can get a train direct from London to Paris (expensive) , or the drive time is around 7 hours obviously including an hour on the car ferry to cross the English Channel. In dont know much about Italy to be hoenst other than two very popular cities to visit are Rome and Florence. |
