Do hostels pick you up from the train station?

Travel Tips
Some offer airport pick-up and a few also train station pick-up. But I would always be wary of them, as often these hostels are very far out of the city centre and only offer the service to get guests at all. Plus it is often cheaper to use public transport. (Hostels generally do not do pick up for free.)

I've must have stayed at at least 500 hostels by now, and the only time I have ever been picked up (for free) was in Israel in Mitzpe Ramon. I then again had the offer of pick-up in Rome and Venice for 1 EUR, but decided against it in both cases. (I rode a bicycle instead.)
Others
To my knowledge, most of them do not.
I say hardly never and if they do, be careful, then something is not right or they charge you more than if you would use a bus, train or even a taxi (if you just talk about the taxi fee with the driver first). I麓m quite sure of this.
