How to use phone when travelling in Europe? |

Travel Tips there is no need to change the sim card. when you will dial you will have to dial the code country before the number. (e.g 0044.xxx.xxxx.xxxx- for Germany or 001.xxx-xxxx-xxxx for US). if you dial 0044 or +44 it`s the same. Others When my husband & I went to Europe last summer, we rented a cell phone from Sprint that could be used internationally. Most SIM cards can be used throughout Europe. But it will make a big hole in your budget. Calling by mobile from one country to another is still expensive. Also, the calls are routed via the home country, addiing to the cost. For example, if you have a French phone and are in England and want to call an English number, your call is routed to France and then back to England. So you pay the international fee twice over. I use a separate SIM card for the countries I visit often. SIM cards in England are very cheap, only one or two pounds, so they pay for themselves in only a day or two. |
