Does anyone have any advice on where to book a family holiday to cater for the under 5鈥檚? |
Travel Info we're looking at booking early for our summer holiday next year Travel Tips Majorca is great and most hotels have a children's club that caters for them most days and afternoons. Others Portugal looks nice. We used to take our youngsters camping in Northern France -around Port Manech (good beach) and Pont Aven (famed for its watermills). Ferry across and an overnight stop at a Municipal camp site on the way (near a Chateau whose name escapes me) Lots of excitement about the ferry crossing - fun setting up tent, shopping for food in French shops and markets. They learned a fair smattering of French by playing with other kids and how to play Boules. A lot of freedom for them on a camp site and they loved shopping for French bread, cheese and peaches for breakfast (and even helping to wash up after). They learned how to eat fresh artichokes and langoustines. We ate in the nearest Routiers sometimes . If you think of going and want to adopt a Granny .......! Have a lovely holiday, wherever you go. P.S. Main French Holiday time is around Bastille Day Anywhere in Pria De luz is nice at this time of year. I've stayed all over Majorca, and as long as you do your research, there's loads of good hotels that will meet your needs. Menorca is a family island but a bit more expensive, but brilliant for families. Go through the holiday destinations here and see what other people have said http://www.realholidayreports.com/... you could try a centr parks in uk as then no long journeys or passports plus from what i hear they are v family friendly also no worry about foreign food etc/ also i think the isle of wight has some nice places and that would have the thrill of going on a short boat ride about half an hour to get there-hope this helps |
