Travel Info I'm (finally) going on a trip to Europe in September - England, France, Switzerland, Italy. Do I need visas? Travel Tips No, but to see for yourself and for future use here is a webpage for U.S. citizens that tells you everything you need to enter any country. You just scroll down the alphabetical list of countries. have a wonderful trip! Source(s): http://travel.state.gov/travel/tips/broc... Other Travel Tips nope, you're good with a passport. I've been to France, Switzerland, & Italy and didn't need any. I have a US Passport. That depends upon your citizenship status, and which passport(s) you currently hold. It's probably best to either a) talk to a travel agent in your area or b) call up embassies to these countries and understand the visa requirements. You do need first your passport and then the visas. Traveling to other countries has required this for almost 100 years now. The only exceptions were Canada and Mexico until a recent law was passed in congress requiring passport and visas for there. You need to apply quickly because this new law has caused a backlog and it has been known to take up to 3 months to get everything back.
