Malta Currency?

This is going to sound like a really stupid question but can someone please confirm that the currency in Malta is Lira and not Euro. I dont have time to trawl the internet and its too late to call. Many thanks.

Malta's currency is the Lira.

I love Malta going for the 4th time in October.
I've just returned from Lu'qa and it was Maltese Lira. The Euro is being introduced in the next couple of years.

It's still the Maltese Lira. Tourist rate as of 21st June was 0.60ML to the pound.
