Is American Candy Commonly found in France? |
Travel Info I am traveling to europe and am going to be meeting many French children there. I was told by my delegation leader it would be very appropriate to have something small to pass out to the kids that is kid friendly and very rare in europe. My idea is candy but i don't wanna pass it out if it is common. If it is, please share other ideas for inexpensive, uniquely american, kid-friendly items to share and represent our country well. Thanx! Travel Tips Yes, most American candies exist in France. However, that doesn't mean you have to abandon the candy idea. France has a lot of the standard types, like Snickers, M&Ms, etc. You can find some candy that is more unique to your region, or something that is more uncommon. Others Go to Belgium and buy the best chocolate in the world! The kids and you will like this! Sorry what is "American Candy"? Don't pass out little pictures of Bush or little squares of American cheese. That won't go over well. Passing out Belgian chocolates could be awkward. Maybe you could pass out some pens that light up or something. That would promote writing and learning and may indeed be what causes some kid to choose life over drugs or you could pass out some Snickers bars. |
