Does anyone know of a (relatively...) reasonable place to stay for a couple of nights in Blonduos, Iceland? We'll be there in July and don't need anything fancy. We don't want to camp or hostel, but rustic is great. My fantasy is a two-person cabin with hot tub. I did find some cottage-y cabin things, but they were big enough for six (or so) and thus.... expensive. Thanks!
Travel Tips
I know the perfect place. The wife and I were out there last year, and we found a private let cottage for about 50 euros a night. They didn't have a hot tub, but the whole place was built over this geothermal pool, in a volcanic cave. With mermaids. And dancing midgets. They don't take reservations, but take the service road west out of town and you'll see it about 2 km out on the right. Knock twice, and an old woman will come to the door. Smack her a across the face with a large, raw herring, and tell her Igor sent you. All major credit cards accepted. |
