Whats the best way to carry money while traveling in europe? |
Travel Info im visiting England and France for three weeks, and im going to be carrying around some form of money. I've heard there are a lot of people that will mug you there. What is the safest way to carry the money i have? Travel Tips travelers checks they are in your name and if there stolen cannot be used so youve not lost anything look into it with your bank.. and they can be used everywhere or can be cashed up in any bank around europe Also a really good tip... carry a fake wallet... stick an old blockbuster card and some other bits in it maybe an old photo and some useless coins and some old notes that are nt used anymore that way if you are mugged you can give them that wallet and not have lost a thing ... win win situation hehe Others Maby in your purse or in a wallet girls wallet or in a travel bag. Always carry it invisibly on your person. Try not to take purses, because that makes it easy for pickpockets. Mugging is true, but only in some countries: Italy Lower parts of England I used a nylon traveler's wallet with a neck strap so I hung it around my neck and under my shirt. It looked something like this: http://www.americantourister.com/webapp/... (in fact I think this was the brand I used too...) travelers checks Keep the biggest amount in your safe at the hotel with important papers (ie: passport, plane tickets) Keep some in purse and some stashed some place else on your body like your bra or shoe, but don't forget where you put it so you don't lose it. Good luck always be aware of your surroundings and have a blast!!! Have traviled out of country |
