Why isn't France a friendly country? |
Travel Info I felt like a foreigner in France, although I speak French. There's an eerie ambiance there. The people are very cynic and sarcastic. And why is Paris so overrated? Apart from the interesting museums, what does it have? It's ugly. Beauty-wise, Edinburgh and Stockholm are far more interesting. And Italians are friendlier than the arrogant French. Why does France get all the hype? Travel Tips Because we don't travel. we are not interested in other cultures. we think only about how good we are and most of us despise others. When we go to Corse we think that we've been abroad:)))))))))) And ifwe don't travel we think only our country is beautiful because we didn't see anything else. Source(s): a Frenchie who left France to study and and never returned back:) now lives as expat:) (and don't think of returning back ever :) good luck to u,i understand your sorrow. Other Travel Tips depends on the foreignor and how they perceive them and how you act and who you run into every country is like that especially the good ol U.S.A. also theres a difference in cultures so that could be a factor sad thing is...alost of american tourists no matter what country they visit tend to act stuck up (some) you know how when a minority here speaks english with that accent? its the same for them when we speak their language..we sound like the foreignor with the broken french or broken whatever to them! and you know sometimes it can make some feel inferior I am Greek and I have been in France many times. I just love it. Paris is like one of the most beautiful cities in the whole world. French might seem a bit unfriendly but if you get to know them better they are very nice. I understand you, i speak Enough french to get by in Paris but that's not enough.. I am not blaming the whole french population because i have just been to Paris, but They have got to be The worse in Friendliness. I have been to other been cities in the States ( since i麓m American) and in Europe and By far they stink at hospitality... Too bad, i guess for them, they are making themselves look bad..... Take care.. An American currently living in Barcelona, Spain Bcn_mimosa Well,i live in France since 2002 because of my job and i have a high level of French. But that has never been enough for those people. Each time they hear my accent which is not a strong accent by the way only the Rs are not coming out as they want, They ask me "vous 锚tes de quelle origine? and that just makes me mad! I hate Paris, i think that it has nothing special. Cold and gray and it rains all the time. I am From Istanbul,Turkey and in Istanbul there is a wonderful view everywhere. Let Istanbul aside, i am not going to make an adverstisement of it in this question. But as you said when i go to Italy and visit Rome i think it is much more beautiful than Paris. Last weekend i went to Nice, Cannes. They were just ugly. There is nothing special. Go to Greece, Italy, Spain (andalucia) they are muucccchhhh more beautifullllll. These people are rude, uncultured (although they want to be seem like cultured), biased about other countries. (i know a French family who is afraid to go to Italy because they say there is mafia there:))))) I think France is a result of good marketing. That's all. Hmm, i hardly speak adequate french. I have been to Paris as well. I found the people to be friendly, especially when i made the effort to speak french. Hospitality, well, that was different, but maybe they are soo tired of all these tourists. |
