Travel Info Know about Poland? Apart fact it`s somewhere in Europe & so many Polish are in UK & Ireland?? Travel Tips Poland is cool. In fact im moving there in August. No one quite got it yet, but there's no one left in Poland to work. & if you speak English!!! Also im marrying a wonderful Polish lady... Hot !!! Others Yep,they are in UK and to me,it's sad they are leaving their country...but I had a polish boyfriend and used to spend a lot of time there.I really can see why so many people are going to live abroad... they eat lard on bread.....check out the Polish grub at tesco! Auschwitz. Bad, real bad. I have been to Krakov, wich is an amazingly beautiful city. And been to the Schindeler Factory... And went to Auschwitz... That was probably one of the most impressive and sad experiences I've had that were not personally related. Intensely sad. The Polish people were extremely brave as well and had to put up with so much hardship during the War. 2006: I found the city very trendy, the cafe's and restau's very cool and good and the people were extremely friendly. I love Poland, it's one of my favourite places to visit in world. I've been there 14/15 times. Mainly staying in Krakow which is very beautiful and historic and Zakopane which is a wonderful town in a National Park in the High Tatra mountains. Zakopane is the ski capital in the winter and you can go to the top of the mountains and look down into a different country. As well as visiting Auschwitz (not particularly pleasant but something I think everyone should do) you should defiantly visit the Wieliczka Salt Mines, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the most amazing place I've ever seen. The Polish people are lovely, very friendly and they have a unique outlook on life. They are the most alarming drivers though, do take care. The culture, traditions, music and food are fantastic.
