Travel Info I don't know which resort I will be going to until I get to the airport. Has anyone been to Bulgaria and what is it like? Travel Tips Bulgaria is beautiful with a lot of interesting old churches and other historical buildings. The red wine is good and the people are friendly. The Black Sea is nice, especially this time of year. You can hike and bike in the mountains (ski in the winter), go to spas, Enjoy the spontaneity and be surprised. Other Travel Tips Depends where you are going. Bulgaria is up and coming but the standard of food is awfull. Although they dont bother you it seems to me that most businesses seem to pay off the bulgarin Mafia ( I Kid you not ! ). Anyway you should be able to find out what area you are going to by your travel agent or if not by which airport you end up at. Have fun well, i've been there a couple of times and don't worry, it's nice and cheap... have fun I was twice in Bulgaria and I absolutely loved it!!I flew to Burgas and then by bus to Primorsko.It took 90 mins or less.I was on same place twice.I looooove Primorsko.I also visited Sozopol,Kitten,Nessebar(stunni... little town) and so on...Bulgarian people are so lovely.I was there for last time two years ago.So many czech people go there,so..they are trying to speak Czech and there are also czech restaurants...but they also have mexican ones and so on.Dont regret going to Bulgaria,you will love it!!Also prizes will be good for you!:-)Enjoy it!!! own experience ANSWER FROM BULGARIA. Hi I am Bulgarian. Yes it is true that all business in this country is to mafia,and it is communist government an all rulers here. But what to do ,only way to make free this country to make revolution and to kill all communists. All people took another way they escaping every day away in western countries because we are in EU. Soon here will live only communists and older people. But this is not your problem. Here is beautiful nature and from sea resorts the best are on southeast coast like Sunny beach,Ahtopol,sozopol and Carevo. Everything is very cheap for you ,but only look to change money in banks they are more safety. 1 pound is about 3 bulgarian leva. Have fun here ,for people with money here is very good. |
