Travel Info When is the best time to tour Europe.? Travel Tips Just before the summer holiday period. The second good time is just after the holiday period. So best is June, or May and June if you come longer. Second best September, add October for a longer period. It also depends on where you go, Scandinavia has a shorter period, in June many of the touristy things are still closed. In the south, like Spain and Italy the season runs longer, into winter. Some places even year round. But traveling in July and August is no fun, all trains packed, all hotels and hostels booked solid. There are extra hostels as universities open up dorms for summer hostels, but there is still a shortage of rooms, any price. Weather is never predictable, and you are as likely to get sun in June as in September, but the days are longer in spring and early summer. And the people working in tourist industry are still enthusiastic after the quiet time in winter. Others When it isn't raining! I would say in the fall. Its much cooler, during the day then it would be in summer and even spring.. You are able to enjoy all the countries you want to visit more relaxed.....
