Iceland Help?

Travel Info
Anyone aware of customs before entering the Blue Lagoon (i.e showering??) Please explain what actually happens...

Travel Tips
Men and women have separate dressing rooms. There you need to take your clothes off and put them into a locker (there are private stalls that you can use if you are not comfortable doing this among other people of your own sex). Then you go to the showering area, where you need to take a shower without a swimsuit. In the showering area there are also shower curtains, so that you can wash yourself in private if you are not comfortable doing it in front of other people of the same sex. Then you can put your swimsuit on and go outside to the lagoon. When you leave the lagoon it is recommended that you shower again and then you can pick up your clothes from your locker and go to a private stall to put them on again.

Pretty much the same rules apply in all public swimming pools in Iceland, but they do not all have private stalls for undressing or showering. Source(s): I live in Iceland and have been to the Blue Lagoon.
Other Travel Tips
Yes, you do have to shower before they allow you into the Lagoon, and you shower afterwards. Trust me, its well worth it! They give you towels, a locker to put your stuff in, and a high tech wrist band to wear.
In all public pools and bathing places in Iceland, you are required to wash without swimwear before going into the water. There are of course separate dressing rooms for men and women, but you do need to shower with other women (or men if you are a man) and some foreigners find this uncomfortable. In some places there are private or semi-private stalls in the showers and/or dressing area, but I don't remember if this is the case in the Blue Lagoon.
