I come from Prague.I think you will enjoy your stay in Prague.We have many historical bulidings,museums and so on..(Prague castle si beautiful).We also have a looot of shops,nice coffee bars,bars...if you want to go to disco(the one called "Face to Face" is good).If you want,we even can meet up and I can show you some nice places.Also depends when you're coming coz I will go to England in middle of September(I spend few months there and I'm coming back).Feel free to mail me: the_madness_87@yahoo.co.uk

when i was there i didn't see a night club . There were a small amount of shops and various tavernas .If you like it quite this is the place for you but its been a couple of years since i was there and i only spent a day there before going back to Corfu which is what i am comparing it to.
September is definitely a nice time to visit Europe. 16 days in Prague might be a bit much though. We spent just 3 days and pretty much saw everything we wanted to. There isn't much for nightlife but we were there to sightsee so didn't bother us.

Definitely take stroll on the St. Charles Bridge, climb the tower at one end and overlook all the city. Pretty nice. The castle is wonderful and just walking through the streets is quite nice.

Since you have so much time, take some day trips to other places. Taking the train is easy and can get you to many surrounding places in no time.
