Enought or too much days in Prague? |
Travel Info Hello everyone, I would like to know if 16 days it will be enought or too much to visit Prague? And how much it will be the budget for this 2 weeks. in USD Please. thanks!! Travel Tips It depends on what you want to do in that time.....I spent 5 nights there and felt happy with my time there.....however I was really only doing the main touristy things....I also did a day trip away to Cesky Krumulov....lovley....in southern bohemia area.. I tend to do things quickly....ie walk, do things and tend not to dawdle....I would think 16 days is quite a while....you could go and see other areas around eg Cesky Krumulov would be highly recommended.....and that would fill in the time. I am not sure how much money you would need....it depends on accommodation....I would at least cheack out some websites so you know that in advance. I got a week pass on the metro/underground system, and i remember it being quite cheap...I was living in the UK at the time and I think it was around 10 pounds for this...it may be more but it was really worth it ( compared to the UK where that was 1 way into London!!) Food ...hmm that coudl vary dependsing on where you ate....you could pay up to 20 euros....I don;t know what this is in USD sorry (i'm not from the US)...but its reasonable anyway. Try lonelyplanet to get some ideas and get a book if you are staying for that length of time as it will help you find all the important places! Source(s): http://www.lonelyplanet.com/ Other Travel Tips If you are planning on spending 16 days in the city of Prague, it would be a little too long. It would be enough if you intended to travel throughout Czech Republic or around it. (Germany, Austria, Slovakia) Way too much...three days is enough. You can use the extra time to travel in the Czech Republc and Slovakia though, and even take the train to Budapest which is a beautiful city. As for budget, this depends on where you will stay and what you would like to eat. Hotels in Prague are very expensive in the summer but there are many hostels which should cost you no more than $15-20 a night. If you eat in Old Town Square or in the Castle area that is also very expensive, but there are a lot of restaurants on the other side of Wenceslaus Square which are more reasonable. Also there are a lot of stands in Wenceslaus Square which sell sandwiches and snacks for an OK price. So I would say, bring at least $50 a day for this sort of holiday and if you want to stay in a hotel then double that. 16 days only in Prague is too much. try travelling around the Czech republic. I don't suggest travelling to the neighbouring states, you would mess your impressions together. rather try one country. visit Cesky Krumlov, get to Brno, enjoy castles, get sa sightseeing flight, and enjoy it. reserve last lets say 4 days, and if you are bored then travel to Wien, Austria, or around Bayern in Germany. two weeks in the Czech republic should be OK with some 500 USD -that is half of an average monthly income in the Czech republic. the more you bring, the more you spend :) |
