Is it possible for 2 people to go to Europe for 2.5 weeks w/ $8,000? |
Travel Info We've already paid for airline tickets, and are staying at some bed & breakfasts to save money. We're visiting Germany for a week and Italy for another week. We'll have credit cards too and will probably put some of the expense on them, but is it possible (without pinching every single penny) to keep the budget at or below $8,000 (not including what we've already spent)? Travel Tips Absolutely, with money left over. You can save lots of money by avoiding expensive downtown hotels. Others I would think so. 3 of us went to England 4 years ago and we didn't even spend close to that much. absolutely. 2 of us went last year for 12 days and stayed in really great hotels and didn't spend half that. have fun! That shud be more than enuf , since ure saving on accomodation. But bear in mind, if u spend a tad more in hotels/hostels/B&B thats close to the "central" of the city.U save on transport, everythin wud be in a walking distance.Only way to know a place is to explore by feet.I tink if u dont plan to shop much, u'll prolly have plenty leftovers till u get back to US? ( i assume ure from the US ). U can also travel on budget flights to save money & time since u plan to head south from Germany.U can check the links below for budget flights.Good Luck & Have fun! www.easyjet.com www.ryanair.com www.flysas.com www.eurorail.com You have more or less 6000 Euro you should not pay more then 200 Euro/night at hotels. Then you will have about 2000E. You can then spend every day 100 Euro per food. In Italy an Granny food is cheep. Eat a lot of pizza in Italy and you will do fine. In general the local food is less expensive so eat that. Use the local transportation buses it is ore fun. Do not worry about money you are on vacation. |
