Europe's highest mountain ? anyone? |
Travel Info Europe's highest mountain ? anyone? Travel Tips Mount Elbrus in Russia (Caucasus): 18510 feet / 5642 meters ( local name 'Mingi-Tau' means: 'Resembling a thousand mountains') There is a cable car running: it starts at 2200m in Azau, the first stop is Stary Krugozor, 2900m; the second stop is Mir station, 3500m. From Mir a chairlift can take you to 3750m.And then.......you can fly the rest Others Matterhorn in the Alps. My guess. The highest mountains in Europe are Mount Elbrus in Russia (5642 m.), Shkhara in Georgia (5204) and the famous Mount Blanc in France (4807 m.) Wikipedia That would have to be Mt.Elbrus , 5642m above sea level. Located at North Caucasus, Russia,Hope that helps :) |
