Travel Info What麓s your opinion of the follwing four European countries: Spain/United Kingdom/Germany/France? Travel Tips I'm going to assume that you're interested in these countries for the purpose of travel. In any case that is the only perspective I can offer. Spain: Great people and great diversity in terms of geography, climate, art, architecture and culture. Food is amazing, especially the tapas (in the South) and seafood (in the North). Still one of the more affordable countries in Europe. France: Similar to Spain, but more expensive overall and sometimes not as welcoming. No tapas but fantastic cr锚pes (both sweet and savoury) - especially in Brittany! Amazing castles and cathedrals. Germany: Honest and friendly people, nice cities and towns, fantastic landscapes (Black forest and Rhine Valley) and spectacular castles - especially the one in the town of Fussen (Neuschwanstein I think it's called - in any case it was the inspiration for Cinderella's castle at Disneyworld). Don't miss the wine tasting in the Rhine Valley! U.K. : Unfortunately I only spent a few days in London (which is amazing) and that's it so I can't tell you anything about Scotland, Wales or Ireland. Others What sort of opinion are you after? - whether to live there? - travel there? - compare their foods? - discuss their politics? (not a good idea). I live in the UK and have a very high opinion of my country, although not so sure about the political aspects, but hopefully the rest of the public will see sense at the next election. I enjoy visiting France and Spain - both have a lot to offer me as a tourist, - but I don't know that I'd particularly want to live there. I haven't spent much time in Germany to be able to comment although I would love to visit Berlin.. Spain: A wonderful country, with wonderful people! Could easely live there and feel like home! UK: A beautiful country full of history and great lanscapes; too much fog, not enough Sun, people with a great sense of humor. Germany: A beautiful country, well organized, friendly people. France: A beautiful country with great landscapes, definitely a must-see; its people are a bit snobish, yet, there's good in there too;)))) |
