Travel Info Cooler city for 5 guys traveling through Europe in the summer. Munich or Venice? Travel Tips Hi i dont know for Venice but i have beeen to Munich in the summer and it was great :) Munich is very beautiful and lively place.People are nice, there are many foreigners and most of all many pubs where u can drink beer :) Others Venice is the sickest place....I've been there and its awesome Venice! so much to see and great culture! ive been to Munich before. But just looking at pictures of venice makes me wnat to go there more than to Munchen M眉nchen (or Minga in Bavarian) is absolutely the greatest place in Europe for my money. The city is absolutely beautiful, clean, fun, low crime. I am going back in September for the Oktoberfest and I think you would be hard pressed to find a better place to see in the summer. Go to the Hofbr盲u Haus and listen to the Bavarian band, and just hang out. I met cool people from Germany, Austria, The U.S., Canda and that was just around our one table. Marienplatz downtown is beautiful, shopping is great, found some real bargains there, including a U.S. brand suitcase cheaper than in the U.S. Because Bavaria is so close to Italy, the Italian restaurants have Italian cooks, waiters and absolutely wonderful food. M眉nchen Uber Alles! I have been to venice and Munich several times while living in Europe and must say there is no contest between the two. Venice reminded me of Disneyworld with all the lines and overpriced gimicks. There is hardly any culture and the whole town is pretty much a sell out. Munich is a beautiful city with A LOT to do, this link says more than I could on here.
